With the 2010 election cycle upon us in all its glory, it is time to submit your applications to become an ELECTED PC for the 2010-2012 term of office.  If you weren't able to pick up the necessary forms at our last meeting, I have attached them to this email for your convenience.  You can also download these forms yourself if the attachment doesn't come through visit our web page at:  www.mesa18.com Partisan_Nomination_Petition.pdf

To be eligible to run as a PC you must meet the following qualifications:
  • You must be registered to vote at your current address.  (If you aren't sure where you are registered to vote, click here)
  • You must be a registered REPUBLICAN.  Individuals registered as Independents or Party Not Declared are not eligible to become Republican PC's.
  • You must submit at least 10 signatures of registered Republican voters WHO LIVE IN YOUR PRECINCT on your nominating petition.
  • You must fill out the Partisan Nomination form with the correct Precinct Information.  (If you aren't sure which precinct you live in, click here)
  • The Partisan Nomination paper must be signed and notarized.  (The County Recorder's office will do that free of charge as long as you have Picture ID with you when you turn the petitions in)
  • Your petition and nomination paper must be turned in to the County Recorder's office by close of business (5pm) on May 26th.
Fred Ash has volunteered to hand deliver all petitions and nomination papers that are given to him by May 25th.  (We have a district meeting that night, so you can meet him there and turn them in then).
Fred can be reached by phone at 480-969-8988 for directions to his house.

Please take note of the fact that this is an election, and how many slots we have in each district really doesn't matter.  If you want to be a PC, go out and meet your future constituents and ask them to vote for you.

If you have any questions, please contact me by responding to this email.  My work schedule is pretty busy, so I may not be able to get back to you right away, but I will try to respond within 24 hours.  If you can't wait for a response from me, the country recorder's website is an excellent resource, and will most likely have the answers to your questions.

Sincerely,

E. Paul Whetten
